About & The Full Journey

From the streets of Ashaiman to the pulpit, the agency, and the pen.

Eric Richson Darko carries three distinct, unified callings — pastoral ministry, enterprise and creative agency, and authorship — held together by a single mandate: build capacity that lasts. Over 13 years he has engineered brand ecosystems, enterprise IT, and multi-SKU physical packaging across West Africa — from Bedisoft systems to SIB Liberia's ATM and brand ecosystems, Chocolate Mall's 15+ SKU packaging, Spalce Technologies rebrands, and Food & Agriculture Legal Services cloud-ops.

Alongside the corporate track runs a decade-plus of ministry: pre-marital and marital counseling, NGO leadership, and structural capacity-building. He is Vice President of the College of Relationship & Marriage (CORMGH), Country Representative of the Ruth Tiso Foundation, and Associate Pastor at Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry, East Legon — dedicated to Youth Ministry.

He is the author of 18 transformative titles — 15 solo and 3 co-authored with Ps. Collins Angel Ross — and the Founder of Wisefold Network, a structural accountability and mentorship vehicle. But none of this is the whole story. The whole story begins in Ada, Goi — and passes through the fire of Ashaiman.

The Foundation & Family Heritage

Rooted in Ada, grounded in family.

Behind every structure I build stands a sanctuary I am entrusted with first. I am happily married to my wife, Esther Richson Darko, and together we are blessed with our beloved daughter, Elora Richson Darko. They are the home that keeps the altar, the field, and the agency in balance.

I was born in Ada, Goi — a town cradled by water and wrestled from the sea. I have six siblings: three I grew up beside, and three half-siblings I would not meet until much later. The last time I saw my father before that long silence was at seven years old; he was absent through every season that shaped me, and I would not see him again until I was thirty-three. When he finally returned, he came with the news of my half-siblings — a second family I had never known existed.

Through all of it, my mother carried us. She raised me and my three siblings single-handedly — through the lean years, the loud years, and the years where discipline was not a value we were taught but a survival we absorbed. Growing up under her roof taught me early that capacity is communal, that no one carries alone, and that the strongest structures are built by the hands that refused to leave.

The Ashaiman Crucible

The raw school of hard knocks.

Before the boardroom and the pulpit came the streets. Ashaiman — and the rugged terrain of Tulaku — was the furnace where character was forged in honest toil and divine preservation.

Academic Foundations

  • Ashaiman No. 5 Primary School
  • Ashaiman No. 6 Junior High School
  • Chemu Senior High School — General Science

The Grind

Survived through sheer determination and honest toil — doing whatever work was necessary to stay alive.

  • Commercial bus conductor (trotro mate)
  • Manual truck pusher
  • Tipper truck mate & assistant
  • Domestic house help
  • Dedicated gardener
  • Subsistence & manual farmer
  • Petty trader on local open markets
  • Scrap dealer navigating junk yards

The Environment

Witnessed firsthand the severe realities of street crime, rampant social vices, and intense negative peer pressure in Tulaku — and emerged through divine preservation with character and discipline intact.

The Corporate Empire, The Wilderness & The Divine Call

Ten years of resistance. One surrender that changed everything.

For over ten years I actively resisted and wrestled against the call to pastoral ministry — dissatisfied with the ideologies, practices, and traditions modeled by many predecessors, refusing to step into that path. So I built. And then the building was taken, so the calling could finally be heard.

Phase 1

The Commercial Empire

During a decade of running from ministry, I built and ran three concurrent enterprises — a commercial salt mining business, a sanitation and waste management enterprise, and a commercial farming venture — while serving as a corporate Project Manager handling demanding corporate projects remotely.

Phase 2

The Collapse

In a sudden, humbling turn, all three flourishing businesses were lost within the twinkle of an eye. The material anchors of self-reliance were completely stripped away — and what I had built my identity on disappeared overnight.

Phase 3

Total Surrender

In the wilderness, God spoke with undeniable clarity. A ministry invitation I chose to honor became the divine catalyst — the scales fell, and I saw the true heart and purity of His mandate. I fully submitted. Ever since, the Lord has been my unfailing helper — sustaining life, marriage, business, and ministry till this day.

Pastoral Ministry

A calling finally answered.

Today I serve as Associate Pastor at Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry (CEM), East Legon — dedicated to Youth Ministry, youth leadership development, and spiritual discipleship. The call I once ran from has become the work I cannot lay down.
